On January 30, 2026, the stage of Bulgaria Hall in Sofia will host an exceptional concert titled “Contrasts and Passions”, featuring Yuki Hirano, finalist and special prize winner of the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition 2025. This performance is part of Hirano’s special award, presented by acclaimed conductor Konstantin Ilievsky, who will lead the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra for the occasion.
The evening’s program will take the audience on an expressive journey through masterpieces of the violin repertoire — from Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain and Tchaikovsky’s Valse-Scherzo to Waxman’s electrifying Carmen Fantasy and Alexey Shor’s Violin Concerto No. 6 “Carpe Diem”, which will be performed in Bulgaria for the first time.
