Elli Choi to Perform Prize Concert on 30 April 2026

27 February 2026

On 30 April 2026, violinist Elli Choi, finalist of Classic Violin Olympus 2025, will present a special concert in Nendeln at the Hagenhaus Peter-Kaiser-Konzertsaal. The performance forms part of a distinguished special prize awarded by Drazen Domjanic, recognising her outstanding artistry and remarkable achievement in the competition.

Taking place on Thursday evening at 19:00, the concert promises a refined and demanding programme that showcases both lyrical sensitivity and virtuosic brilliance. Choi will perform Franz Schubert’s Rondo brillante in B minor, Op. 70, D 895, a work that combines poetic expressiveness with sparkling technical passages. The programme continues with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 10 in G major, Op. 96, one of the composer’s most mature and intimate violin sonatas, celebrated for its elegance, depth, and conversational interplay between violin and piano.

The second half of the evening moves into the 20th century with Igor Stravinsky’s Divertimento for violin and piano, after The Fairy’s Kiss. With its distinctive rhythmic vitality and neoclassical clarity, the work demands stylistic precision and expressive flexibility. The recital concludes with Henryk Wieniawski’s Première polonaise de concert in D major, Op. 4, a brilliant showpiece that highlights the violinist’s technical command and charismatic stage presence.

As a recipient of Drazen Domjanic’s special prize, Elli Choi’s performance represents both recognition and opportunity — a moment to share her artistry with a wider audience in an esteemed concert setting. The evening is expected to demonstrate the musical maturity, refined tone, and expressive intelligence that earned her a place among the finalists of Classic Violin Olympus 2025.
