1 May 2026

On 30 April 2026, violinist Elli Choi, finalist of Classic Violin Olympus 2025, gave a distinguished concert in Nendeln at the Hagenhaus Peter-Kaiser-Konzertsaal, as part of a prestigious special prize awarded by Drazen Domjanic in recognition of her outstanding artistry and remarkable success in the competition.

The evening offered audiences an elegant and demanding programme that highlighted both Choi’s lyrical refinement and virtuosic brilliance. She opened the recital with Franz Schubert’s Rondo brillante in B minor, Op. 70, D 895, bringing poise, charm, and expressive warmth to the sparkling score.

This was followed by Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 10 in G major, Op. 96, one of the composer’s most intimate and sophisticated chamber works. Choi delivered a thoughtful and nuanced interpretation, revealing the sonata’s depth, grace, and subtle dialogue between violin and piano.

In the second half, she turned to the vibrant sound world of the twentieth century with Igor Stravinsky’s Divertimento for violin and piano, after The Fairy’s Kiss, demonstrating rhythmic precision, stylistic clarity, and dynamic versatility.

The recital concluded brilliantly with Henryk Wieniawski’s Première polonaise de concert in D major, Op. 4, a dazzling showpiece that showcased Choi’s commanding technique, confident stage presence, and expressive flair.

Awarded by Drazen Domjanic, this special prize concert stood as both recognition of Elli Choi’s achievements and an important artistic platform following her success at Classic Violin Olympus 2025. The performance confirmed her as a compelling young artist of exceptional promise and musical maturity.
