Dates of Pre-selection Contests Officially Released
In April 2025, the emirate of Dubai in the UAE shall witness the launch of what is arguably the most exciting new violin competition to enter the world stage in recent years.
Taking place between the 22nd and 28th of the month, the invite-only event will feature a unique 23-person jury board exclusively made up of preeminent conductors and directors of acclaimed orchestras, festivals and concert series, with a record-breaking €310,000 total prize fund awaiting the best young violinists of our time.
Entry into this competition is only possible through participation in one of six pre-selection contests, all being held as part of the ‘Six Ways to Classical Violin Olympus’ project. Held throughout 2024 in Tokyo, Vienna, New York, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv, applicants need to rank within the top two spots in the final listings at any of these events in order to win eligibility to participate in the Grand Finale in Dubai.
