FAQ

Is there an age limit for participation in the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition?

Classic Violin Olympus is noteworthy in that it is the first major international violin competition to do away with age limits altogether. To that end, violinists of all ages are eligible to participate in the competition by filling in the registration form and submitting their audition video.

What is the participation fee to register for one of the ‘Six Ways to Classic Violin Olympus’ contests?

In order to register for the competition and submit an audition video, candidates need to pay a registration fee of €50. If they are among the 20 violinists who will be selected to take part in one of the live pre-selection stages, candidates will then be required to pay a further €50 participation fee. Both these entry fees are non-refundable. Should a candidate be selected to take part in the invite-only Final Stage in Dubai, their participation here will be free of charge.

What is the registration process to apply for the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition?

In order to participate in the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition, candidates must first apply to one of the six pre-selection stages that are being held all around the world across 2024. This may be done by filling in an online registration form on any of the pre-selection websites and submitting an online audition video. A total of 20 applicants per pre-selection contest will be chosen to compete in live performances, with the two top-ranked participants from each contest then being invited to Dubai to take part in Classic Violin Olympus itself.
